HELP~about Software Engineering

Hi Guys!!
I’m a freshman and my department is Software Engineering ,you know,it's a hard subject,and I need you give me some information about it eg.how can i study it well and how can i use it well in my career...and so on.

Its simple really, attend all your lectures, complete all work set to the best of your abilities and try to read books or use internet resources in your spare time.....
