Given what we know about the ceremony it doesn't sound very good and I've just been watching some of Beijing's on Eurosport and I'd forgotten just how good it was.

It was really very good but I think it's unfair to judge something on the "bits" you *know* so far. They're very different countries, too.
Everyone seems so quick to do down anything to do with this Olympics.

It is unfair but that's the kind of guy I am. I'll happily change my view later on if I'm suitably impressed.
This is the only thing negative thing I've said about them. I do love the Olympics though.

many reasons, lol, primarily because im a Socialist and an Egalitarian, I have 0 interest in celebrating so called "British culture", the games are also horrendously over budget, corporate and don't even get me started on the security nonsense going on.
