You want to pay some trafficked pimp abused crack addicted dick taker to take your virginity, form your first experience of a sexual relationship and be the basis of your sexual history, putting risk to your health, future relationships, sexual confidence and attitudes towards sex and women? Really?

Have a ****, then sort your confidence and self esteem out as if your life depends upon it. Gym, clothes, career, social life, talents/hobbies, just totally boss them all and sex will come, as a long term and rewarding pleasure because you have earned it. A prostitute doesn't solve this problem, it will only give you more.

I agree with you where you say about messing up future relationships, if a boyfriend of mine had used a prostitute I probably would think a lot differently about him and would probably find it hard to have sexual relations with him as I would feel like sex to him isn't special, if that makes sense.

Well, if the OP's aim is to make himself as unattractive to women as possible, then sleeping with a prostitute would be extremely effective... as would getting a reputation for sexual violence.

Girls are not going to be particularly mad about either of those two traits.

I don't understand the 'sexual violence' part at all. In a regulated environment it is not possible for this to go unnoticed. In Amsterdam's red light district (De Wallen) there are police patrols and a buzzer in the rooms themselves which the sex worker can press supposing any violence starts to happen. I visit sex workers intermittently and am not aware of such violence occurring.

Sexual violence is not necessarily either non-consensual or noisy.

I didn't mean with a prostitute. I meant... oh never mind.

If it consensual then why should the police be expected to intervene? And why should it be a problem for others?

Hey allI'm 19 and ****ing sick of this. I'm at uni now and all my friends from home have had/are in relationships and lost their virginity. I still haven't made out with anyone ever, told a girl how I feel about her, etcAnyway I'm going to Amsterdam some time over the next year and have the opportunity to use a prostitute. If I'd got to third base with someone I wouldn't be bothered but considering I have repeatedly been placed at the bottom of 'who would you ****/date' lists and have cripplingly low self-confidence I really feel like nothing is going to change and my emotional development is not going to be the same as a normal person.tl;dr should I lose my virginity to a prostitute.

If you wish to be deflowered by a sex worker then go ahead and do it. It is a private act and you are not affecting the lives of others.

For certain groups in society (e.g. the socially awkward, oilrig workers, foreigners) there should not be such a stigma about visiting sex workers.

Alternatively you could ask to be provided libido-suppressant medication, however I believe that in England they will not prescribe this to you, which in my opinion is quite strange. Stupidly, they are also looking to criminalize people who they offer money to sex workers for sexual services.

I don't know. You were the one who mentioned the police; you tell me.

I thought it was quite cool. We sat in a cafe and watched the guys coming up and negotiating then coming out again 10 minutes later. Something you don't see every day.

I wouldn't use one though even if you paid me £1,000,000.

Yeah, we watched one from upstairs in a coffee shop for ages, I thought it was really sad and dehumanising. I'm not usually that empathetic, might just have been because I was high as a kite in all fairness. Still, I mean, that's someones daughter, you know?

I'd only consider it with a really classy escort, like one that makes a ****load and actually probably wants to do it.
I know exactly how you feel. Dont worry it can only get better though. Just wait

I don't think any of them actually want to do it.

The ones in amsterdam were more like someone's grandmother, nevermind daughter.

Really? Why? Women enjoy sex, and they can earn well into six figures a year doing it in a relatively safe environment. I'm not saying they find it amazing or anything, but for a job, not bad for certain women.

Women may very well enjoy sex, but I doubt they enjoy giving blowjobs to fat middle aged bankers, which is basically what escorting entails.

I wouldn't want to be a male escort, would you?
No one cares.

Do whatever you want.

Paying someone to **** you is pretty weak though.

But you have to remember it's a job. I don't enjoy taking telephone calls, but I'm happy to do it for a job, and they earn a lot more than me.

If I could earn a lot of money from it, I'd certainly consider it. Probably not long term, and I'd probably chicken out anyway, but theoretically, yeah. My dad met an old school mate who does it in Vegas, plenty of perks there.

They don't have to do it. They have the right of refusal - no prostitute is forced to open the doors to a client.

Well, what else would you expect say, a foreign worker who is not fluent in the local language, who is on secondment and who does not have access to libido-suppressant medication to do?

Are you entirely certain about that?
Going to a prostitute is not going to improve your self confidence. Also, by virtue of you creating this thread, losing your virginity probably means something to you - losing it to someone you don't care about and who doesn't care about you, and who you will probable never see again, will make you feel worse about yourself and I highly expect you'll regret it.

You're still a teenager for heaven's sakes - there's nothing wrong with you. Who the hell is creating these "lists"? How ridiculous.
You might as well OP, your virginity isn't anything sacred or special.

Maybe getting your end away will help you overcome your issues or at least put sex into perspective for you.
