8 UMS away = 2 grades :/

Right..

Manchester gave me offer of AAB.
I got BBB.
However I am 5 UMS and 3 UMS away from 2 subjects to get an A.
So do you think its worth me pleading to them considering im so close?

Its for Pharmacy btw.

Why wouldn't you? Even if you were 50 UMS off, you can't be any worse off by phoning them up and pleading.

Plead and good luck! I applied for Pharmacy and was in a similar position but wasn't accepted

If it says unsuccessful on Track, then the university has already considered your case and given you the benefit of any doubt. If it still says conditional, they haven't yet decided, so it's worth calling.

I'm sorry to hear that. Your time is better spent looking through clearing, assuming you didn't make your insurance.

I would say phone up anyway, what harm could it do? In any case it shows how much you want it! If not, are there modules you can retake?

yeah i made my insurance but i really cant live knowing i was so close to manchesters grades!

cant really resit modules as i took 3 years to complete all my a levels already

There are many other pharmacy schools in the UK which have places in Clearing with requirements of BBB or lower, so you still have a decent shot at finding another place.

If you decide to ring just say "I know that I did not get the grades but I did have very high UMS is it worth me sending them to you"

It is unlikely to make a difference tbh
