Try sitting on your ankles with 40kg on the bar. If you're high bar squatting this is where you should be on every rep, even when you have twice your body weight on the bar.
Lots of people dont have the flexibility for it so seriously be happy if its just the fact that the weight is too heavy. Getting stronger at your level is far easier than developing the flexibility for an ass-to-ankles squat!
