MPhil interviews?

Is it common for MPhil applicants to be called up for skype interviews? Is it simply a very standard procedure, or does it hint at something good/bad?

Every uni can run postgrad recruitment as it wants, so there's no way to know. Even within a uni, different departments can do it in different ways.

However, you can be confident that if you had no chance at all, they wouldn't bother wasting time with a Skype interview. You obviously have their attention and they want to know more about you. I'd say that was reason to approach it in a positive frame of mind.
