UPDATE

Right today, I want to get on with everything I haven't already done this week, so doing the last few notes on Coasts, starting Development, writing out German and finishing Q cards

I also really want to limit my screen time and I know I said this a while ago, but I am still finding myself being drawn in to a tablet or computer, so I am going to be very strict and plan out exactly when I can use them - I might update about this tonight - as well as post my mock results!!

I have some notes which I can upload but have you looked at Bangor Uni as they have made some booklets for GCSE Science revision - it may be worth a look
If someone could give me advice for English literature and language (both edexcel) that would be great. It's less of needing to revise, more of knowing what to write - I usually get a's but would love a*'s. For language I am doing To Kill a Mockingbird, and for literature I am doing Jekyll and Hyde and TKAMB again, with the relationships collection of poems. English has always been my weakness - I'm much better at sciences - my A levels next year are: maths; further maths; physics and chemistry and I think I want to go into astrophysics when I am older

Your blog is great thankyou for making it!
MOCK UPDATE AND TARGETSFOR 22nd FEB

Original post by brainzistheword
So Mocks start tomorrow and I'm so nervous it's unbelievable!!
But I have targets I want to reach in these exams, bearing in mind there are 2 every day from Mon-Fri.
Here's what I want to achieve, or if possible beat:

Chemistry C1-C3: 70/75

Physics P1-P3: 72/75

Biology B1-B3: 68/75

Maths: 180/200 (from both papers)

English Literature and Language: A* in both (don't mind the specific mark)

Biology B4-B5 + Sect D: 50/60 (we haven't finished B6)

Chemistry C4-C5 + Sect D: 55/60

Physics P4-P6: 80/85

So I got all my results back this week, and you can compare them to what are above (although these are only my personal targets and the school just wanted the grade)

Chemistry C1-C3: 73/75

Physics P1-P3: 68/75

Biology B1-B3: 63/75

Maths: 190/200 (from both papers) - (98/100 and 92/100)

English Literature and Language: A Language and A* Literature

Biology B4-B5 + Sect D: 49/60

Chemistry C4-C5 + Sect D: 55/60

Physics P4-P6: 81/85

The green grades mean I did as well or better than I had hoped, the orange means I was close and the red means I want to improve.

From these results, I really want to focus on Physics, English Language and definitely Biology. All the results, except English Language are A* which I am pleased about, but as I said in the OP, I am bothered more about the actual mark, than the grade it turns into.

I know some of the areas for improvement in English Language lie in getting the format of letters correct and more practice should help me get the techniques more accurate, so this is going to be a main focus when I revise English.

Hiya - thanks for reading my blog - I appreciate it

I do WJEC but in terms of English prep in general the best advice I can give is do past papers or make up your own questions which are variations of exam questions and get the teacher to mark them so you have an idea of what you are doing right. I don't study the same texts as you either, but character profiles and knowing key quotes and little specific details about the texts get you the higher marks.

If I think of anything else that will help you, I'll let you know

And wow we are so similar in terms of A-levels, and I love the thought of astrophysics too
