Medicine or Dentistry

Hi all,

I am in Y12 thinking of applying to a healthcare profession and it would be either of medince or dentistry but i am really stuck to which one. Medince seems very instresting as you can learn about the differnt parts of the body and learn a broad range of ideas. However this I know can be very stressful due to a long hours when qulaified etc. Dentistry seems quite flexible in some way after graduation and focuses on only one specific part.
I am really stuck in which one to apply to I love science and the body especially and love helping and communicating with people.
My predictions are A*AAA and I currently do Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology will perhaps drop psychology after AS Exams

ANY HELP WOULD APPRECIATED THANKS

What's the question?

I just read my so called question heres the questions
pros and cons of each and any experiences from courses etc. What is it like?
I would recommend doing work experience (if you haven't already) in both fields. Then you can make a fully informed decision as to what path to go down. There are many pros and cons of doing each which you can find on the internet - you have already stated a few of the obvious ones. Both careers are mentally demanding and require a high level of academic ability, but at the end of the day it is personal choice as to which path to go down.
Dentistry and medicine are both incredibly different jobs - so while people end up at this crossroads commonly, I think it's a bit weird. Look more into what a dentist does for his job, and what a doctor does day-to-day. Both do very different things!!!
I want a rewarding career pathway in medicine or dentistry but don't know what factors to take into consideration . I am veering towards either a dentist , gp or specialise after a medicine in a field like Neurology.
