Am I the only one who doesn't believe in valentines?

Don't see the point. It's stupid like mothers/Father's Day. It's Encouraging people to only care about someone for one day.

Disagree, there doesn't need to be a "point", it's just a enjoyable event. It doesn't encourage ppl to care about someone once a year, people do it all year round but it's nice to have a day to go the extra mile.

Yes, it's commercialised. Yes, you need to love your loved ones every day.

But Valentines' Day doesn't have to be romantic. It's a way of spreading happiness to those who don't get it that often and making someone feel special. Knowing you've done something to make someone else happy puts YOURSELF in a good mood. Thus, the cycle continues. Why not embrace it?

no. it's just a bit of fun really and a further celebration of your relationship if you want to do it. or you can just ignore it. I will make a meal for my special and do one or too things differently on Valentine's day. Its just a bit of fun- like Christmas can be!

Ok. True ,but I think you are missing the point! You can celebrate what you like when and if you like! Of course you can romance on any day. Valentines day is just fun and a reminder about friendship and taking time out from your busy ness to think of someone else! Its a reminder about gratitude!

On the 15th everyone doesn't suddenly go "ew go away I can't show you love until next February 14th". You show each other love all the time throughout the year but this day is just extra special.

It's like your birthday. Everyone I'm sure appreciates you and shows you that throughout the year but on your birthday people to extra special things for you to show you that.
