How many times have you got a detention at school?

I know this was a long time ago (finished A Levels at mid 2013!) but I know that I have lost count (or can't remember) on all of the detentions between Year 7 and Year 11. I didn't get that many compared to other students, but most that I got were for small, petty trivial things.

In Year 12 and Year 13 (A Level years) I got hardly any
I've lost track of the detentions at this point but only a few phone calls home over the course of 4 years
Pretty much everyday for just about anything. Late, homework, behaviour etc. Longest I’ve had was 2 hours after school.
Only ever had two after-schools, but I had lunchtime ones every other day.
Hundreds.

At secondary school, we had weekly Wednesday detentions which were the "big detentions". At one point during year 9, I had 35 weeks back-to-back to serve. A school record: the family was very proud. I was about to be excluded, but the school offered to do away with the ones I had to complete if I promised to be a good little boy.

One of my after schools was for DDTing my mate on a table before form, nothing but pissing about obviously. Crazy when the week after I had a full-blown scrap in the canteen and got half an hour the following lunchtime.

Your mate musta been relieved you never attempted the Crippler Crossface. Hear it's risky. I never was one for fighting. Mine was cos I was put in doss sets, would finish my work about 10 mins into the lesson, and spend the rest of it annoying everyone else.

The closest I got to being kicked out, besides the 35 weeks thing, was when I found a way to get on porn websites at school -- even though the Internet to my account was blocked. They called me the maestro thereafter. However, my IT teacher was stood behind me as I was proudly bragging to my mates about my achievement. The deputy head did find what I did interesting; and it was a few weeks before GCSE final exams, so they couldn't touch me!

A few months ago I saw that same deputy head and told him I was doing a master's. Didn't quite believe it, but was genuinely chuffed.

That's brilliant

It was mad in our school. Fights were so normal that you only really got hammered punishment-wise if you did serious damage to someone. Half the time staff would split it up and tell whoever was going at it to leave it until rugby training that day/week. Brilliant.

God I ****ing hated school.
Three for forgetting my planner, stupid school rules, and 21 for espionage, basically I once lost some work, so I had to go and find it and I found it in the school isolation room, full of small cells, and a teacher caught me and accused of espionage, so I had a two hour detention, and two weeks of isolation. It got extended to four because I kept on removing my heavy duty military style boots on the booth, so it kept on getting extended, with a new detention each day, in the end they just let me put the boots in front of the booth, and only recorded one detection. Fun times
 Never

Feel sorry mate, we should all get at least one, though I hate after school ones, k loved lunch and break ones, in the isolation booth, and loved isolation, still in my booth😂
One because I did not complete a storyboard in media studies. Then I nearly got another because I still hadn't completed the storyboard. I told her my excuse and finished it in form. (Funny thing is my form teacher is also a media studies teacher but he didn't really care.) My excuse was I had to change the title of the storyboard because she said that we should.
I've had detention.. well isolation a few times;

1. A girl came up to me and took my glasses off (yeah like I sooo can't see) and pushed me a few times into a fence. So I punched her :colone:
2. A group of kids who bullied me were following me after school, calling me every name you can think off, then one called my boyfriend a pedo. So I turned around and punched her a few times in the face.
3. The girl I punched (second time) told her college friends. So her college friends sent death threats and met me outside of school (didn't know this was going to happen), so one of the girla went to pull my hair.. so I punched her too

I can't help it, I havr a right temper
But at the same time don't call me fat, ugly...tell me to kill myself, etc. Don't bring up the fact I'm a care kid and don't say my mum never loved me. And never hurt my friends.

4. For not getting 20/20 on a maths test. So I had to stay after school for an hour and do the test again until I got 100% (different qs though).

1 'proper' detention for not doing homework and 6 late detentions lol
probably 50 plus because i cant keep my yapping mouth shut
So we go to school 190 days a year.

5 years * 190 days = 950 so I had detention about 174869 times
I actually got my first one a week ago for talking! I'm in the 7th grade rn  I hope I don't get anymore...My mom was chill but my dad was so disappointed I feel so bad
