I have just completed the tarc course for raf rejoiners and transferees so if any one has any questions or queries just ask

Take us through it, step by step! I get that it is tailored to individual requirements but what happened for you each day?

This is the programme for mon-Friday will get a copy for next week on Monday rejoiners are finishing on Monday and transferees finish on Tuesday! We were the trial course for having are own rooms also

Bit blurred! Any chance of a clearer shot? So now in single person rooms. How has the course been- relaxed or treated like a recruit? Any ‘must haves’ not on kit list? Can I get away without bringing an ironing board!?

Sorry that’s the best I could do as was blurred already! No need for ironing board there’s lots in the cupboards the course has been very relaxed treated like adults. Finished today and we were all sad to leave lol... has been a brilliant week take civvie clothes as u get a lot of down time... don’t worry about the dark or kit we all

So, got my invite to the TaRC and got some JI’s for it.
Got to call on Friday afternoon to check it is still going ahead..... coronavirus!
Everything I have received so far suggests it is a 1 day course (offer of service letter included) but I don’t see how I can do the inevitable admin, attest, re-kit, med/dent, CCS/MOD 1...... all in a single day. Thoughts?

Absolutely no chance getting it all done in one day! A lot of people have been sent home from Halton everyone who was on holding flight and all other camps are on minimal staffing I was supposed to start at my new base today and I’ve been told to not go in! There is massive kitting shortages as kit is from China! The lads who were supposed to start there phase two training has also been suspended!

Bleep test sit ups and press ups you are not allowed to go over the amount you are set to do get to your level then stop! And it’s on the second day about 3ish

I only had to do a two day trade test for my trade however u get to put your options for your base preferences and everyone on my course got there bases they chose! U get to choose your preferences once ur at your phase two I was able to put mine in on my application and it was verified on my offer of service

My son is hoping to rejoin the RAF. He voluntarily withdrew from Basic as he wasn't able to follow his chosen career path (he has now found out that he can). Does he have to reapply in full or is there a shorter path?

If he didn’t complete the phase 1 BRTC he’ll obviously need to redo that but get him to call his nearest AFCO to ask about applications.

Is anyone still waiting to do the tarc course? I’m still waiting to do my medical and fitness test. My application started in Sept, I understand all this lockdown has slowed things down, but I’m losing the will to live! I’ve had no info on when things might start moving again. I’d like to know a rough idea so I can plan mine and my families life! Also some info on when the phase two at Southwick for the RAF Police May take place. The communication has been terrible!

Did anyone get promoted afterwards or all just SACs? I'm 48 and waiting, applied in March and the rejoiner cell only went back a few weeks ago.
