What should I wear to a McDonald’s interview?

I don’t think I need to be too formal but is wear plain black jeans appropriate?

Why don't you think you need to be too formal for a job interview, regardless of where it is?

You are going to be working in the food service industry, seen by customers, needing to be aware of hygiene standards; why not trousers/chinos, shirt and tie (if M)?

I've got a job at McDonalds, for my interview I wore a shirt, blazer and smart skirt and got the job  I had a group interview and some people were wearing jeans and shirts kinda thing, I think as long as you look smart and presentable it doesn't matter too much. Good luck!!

you should wear formal like Port Authority S608 and dickies pant

That's an oddly specific recommendation.
