Based on what your interpretation of the Guardian? what makes your analysis superior?

I don't read the Guardian that much, tyvm. I'm not going to pretend I know everything about the EU, but I know a lot more than many voters. The political climate is very xenophobic with this anti-immigration rhetoric, and people blame the pressure on public services on immigrants; immigration and sovereignty are not good enough reasons to leave the EU.

Oh the Irony, people vote to leave the EU to regain sovereignty and democracy back and then have it blocked in favour to stay... you think that is going to solve the crisis long term?

The HoC puts through bills the public does not want all the time. The FPTP system is incredibly democratic too
It'd be chaos if that happened. Currently you've only got upset Remain supporters who are protesting. If Parliament overrules the referendum then they'd be fighting on the streets unfortunately.

The precedence it'd set would be very worrying. Ignoring the will of the population because they're "uneducated" or something similar would potentially mean Parliament could ignore further votes/elections in the future.
There are a whole series of ways in which Brexit might not happen but Remain MPs in this Parliament blocking it is one of the less likely ones.

A referendum is advisory and non-binding. Parliament is sovereign and we elected them democratically, therefore it is not undemocratic if they block exit. Yes it will cause upset, but it doesn't go against democracy. We live in a representative democracy and we elected them into power by election, this democratic process allowed us to create a government of our choosing and that implies we have a certain obligation to obey it.

And to answer your question, I would feel happy.

I'd riot and get my fellow leavers to leave nothing left of London.
While I voted remain, I still think it's wrong to try and block a democratic referendum. Unless the geopolitical situation of the world drastically changes in an unforseeable and catastrophic way, The wishes of the majority should be respected. It sucks to be taken out, but hey, you don't always get your way in life.
There are a couple things which may happen if Parliament decide to screw over the people.

1. Gas pipelines occupied and shut down. This will cause London to go into a black out.
2. Ports occupied and no goods or services let though.
3. Hackers will bring down all Government websites and DDOS them constantly.
4. Petrol tankers will be blocked with Petrol stations.
5. Key London roads will be occupied blocking traffic.

And I saved the best till last. There might be mutiny in the British MOD. If that happens there won't be any soldiers to get the power stations back up & running.

It may sound scary but some group might actually be daft to EMP London.

Either way: EMP. Power Plant Occupation, Gas port Occupation or Road blocks you can see this happening:

And where do I come in? I am a doomsday prepper and I specialise in self-sufficiency. Basically whatever happens these rebel groups are going to need supplies to keep them going. That is where me and my allies come in.

The Civil war has already started.

Be very afraid. These arent empty threats.

But anyway Chaos is a ladder.

The Lib Dems alone cannot block it. However, if enough MPs from across all the parties form a majority, then yes they could block it. I would rejoice tbh; I know it's undemocratic but I know the public made the wrong choice.

Not undemocratic at all :h:

It's a bit hard to get used to something that hasn't happened yet.

I would have mixed emotions if Westminster blocked the UK leaving the EU. I would be glad to stay in but I think too much damage has already been done. The country is so divided that I don't see how this can end well.
