hows newcastle? got a friend in 4th year who has told me bad things haha.
i think it suits me but bear in mind i'm a super nerdy guy so
Mind if I ask how's the social life? Do you have opportunities to make new friends, socialise with other students etc?
I am certain that Imperial is academically fantastic and my visit during my interview further confirms it. I have visited many professional labs, control rooms and study areas there and it is a pleasure to study there.
The only thing that drags me back a bit is the social life. During the tour I didn't see any recreational facilities apart from the sports centre and the student hub (a little bar), which might be a concern for me. Can I ask how's the social life of an Imperial student?

there are 5 bars around the campus??? and the sports centre is frekin large. plus you've got your halls, which is the place where most recreational stuffs taking place on. is there anything you specifically want? the quantity is actually alright, taking account of people like me who never uses those facilities. or maybe your visit is based mainly on the three buildings, which everyone else in imperial would get lost except chem eng + aero lol.

Oh no I'm not looking at anything specific, just talking about the general chilling activities.
Listening to your words I realised I probably missed out many parts of Imperial. The tour mainly shows academic-related venues only so maybe that's why it gave me an impression of "lack of recreational facilities". I haven't been able to look at accommodation halls either so I don't know that there will be entertainment. Sounds fine after all!
