Struggling with higher maths

Is it normal to be struggling with higher maths this early? We are only around halfway through unit 1, and other than the straight line stuff, i really don't feel like i understand much of what we have covered. We don't have textbooks yet, so i can't go over stuff properly, and we haven't covered enough to make past papers viable yet.

Is it ok to be struggling at this point? Like will things make more sense later on? I need at least a B for uni, preferably an A, so i'm pretty worried about it right now.

And is there any good websites or books i can use for studying?

I struggled in H maths, came to the prelim got 29% although I had passed the nabs I felt that things weren't clicking so I got extra work from the teacher and stayed behind for 1hr with others and a teacher to revise. Have you tried hsn for notes ? I like those ones better + I think you have to understand certain parts-which- I didn't until the exam. I got a B -missed an A by 3% - but I find the adv h stuff much easier to comprehend
