Well i've been researching and so far de montfort is accredited by Medical education england which makes u eligible to register as an Audiologist and Health professions council which makes you eligible to register as a hearing aid dispenser.
I've just sent mine off!
Woo hey fellow audiologists to be (hopefully). I'll be applying to leeds, southampton, aston, manch, and DMU. I'm not too sure about DMU :s, had the same problem with not really hearing much about it and got a little bit confused by the line "The course is approved by the Health Professions Council, allowing graduates to be eligible to register as a Hearing Aid Dispenser", where the other universities state "Register as an audiologist".
I sent my application off 2 weeks ago but my sixth form is being long about actually sending it off :frown:

I really want to go to Swansea or Southampton too! Are you just applying to these two units/only audiology or for Anyang else?
Hey everyone, just informing you about De Montfort to get rid of any confusion! De Montfort allows you to be an audiologist after the course finishes -so don't worry! It is in fact (I think) the only Uni which allows you to also work in the private sector during your work experience and is accredited so that when you finish, if you want, you can ALSO work as a hearing aid dispenser

When you're looking in the prospectus or on the website make sure you're looking at hearing aid audiology foundation degree - this is something completely different

i sent mine off about a week ago to ucas, got thank you emails from southampton, aston and manchester. Manchester then also sent me an email a few days ago to say they were now considering/looking at my application. Thats all, nothing major!
