the very awesome ' A levels in 3yrs' thread...

Hellooo!! i made this thread for the A level students who happen to have to do their A levels in 3 yrs. i thought we should share our advice for applying to uni (eg what we should say on our personal statements and what we should say about how retaking a year was a good decision)

so please feel free to watch the thread and add your comments...
you shouldn't say anything in your PS - your referee should explain the circumstances behind the extra year

Not sure why this thread is even slightly awesome :s-smilie: Or different from the multiple threads on retakes/3 years for A levels threads that appear pretty much daily.
I did 3 years, and ended up with 5 A*'s . I have an offer from UCL to study Law. I had extenuating circumstances though (had been a carer for my mum, so this justified the extra year). Most universities don't care if you've done an extra year so long as you complete each A level within 2 years. If you're applying to a Top 5 uni, they will care, so you'll need a story to pull some heart stings. Hope this helps!

I didn't say anything on mine but my reference explained everything.

Good thread idea though
