Racial discrimination when applying/looking for jobs

Do you guys think this is an issue for asian/black people when looking for jobs? or is this just an excuse? I want people who are black or asian to share their experiences and if they've experienced any racial discrimination.

I have a black friend who was rejected after a very good interview because they didnt think "he would fit in with the team". How are they basing this off an interview when most candidates are very nervous and cant be themselves? Shouldn't they be hiring people based on skill and experience rather than if they will be able to half a laugh with them in the pub after work? He told me the majority of people at that firm were white and Caucasian and he felt that was really the reason.

So they do hire black and Asian people?
I am black and sometimes I feel like this too.

Sometimes i feel to change my name when applying for jobs seeing both my first and last name isn't a typical british name.
