i havent got my accomodation form yet as i just got an offer a few days ago but i heard that you have to at least have 10 choices, is that true?
Is the accommodation first come first served? :frown:

You'll get an email when you firm Sussex on UCAS
You should get up to 10 choices, you don't need to use them all but bear in mind that possibly the most popular blocks will go to Postgrads and unconditional offers. After that I think that accom offers are made depending on the order that admissions work through the results when they get them, so not really first come, first serve... More like pot luck.
If you have a conditional offer and make your grades then you should be a better position than if you have even a very near miss

damn ;-; i made Sussex my firm choice as soon as i heard from them, but my offer is an conditional offer (i just need to get the grade B in maths and at least a Merit in my current coures). I feel like i'd only complete one of those two and most probably have to go through clearing with Sussex....

I did exactly that
Is accommodation a first-come-first-served process? I'm thinking of changing my firm from Exeter to Sussex and if applications are a panicked free-for-all then that might hurry up my decision-making...
From what i was told on my applicant day, the international students and unconditional offer holders are given first priority. I don't know about the conditional holders but i'm guessing they give out accommodation from firm to insurance decision makers.

Hi everyone im doing my application and here's what i put so far:
1.brighthelm
2.lewes court 1
3. East slope
4. park houses
5.Northfield
6.Lews court 2
7. Kings road

i wanted to get some quick advice, does anyone have any opinions on lewes court 1? as im not sure if i should move it under east slope or park house or just leave it there...

also i've been pretty antisocial at college for the past 2 years and im hoping to make a new fresh social start in University this year (before i started being antisocial i was really social and confident, well i still am now).

which accomodation would you guys recommend for someone who wants to get back into socialising and interacting with people? (btw im not a heavy drinker and im kinda okay with parties it just depends on the song and if there's going to be dancing, i dont go to parties as i never had those type of friends that were really into partying)

im hoping on doing some recordings and vlogs of sussex for my youtube too but it'll kinda depend... :T (damn im leaving accomodation so late)

My friend who has an unconditional from Sussex tells me that no accommodation is assigned until after results day. Not sure if this is true, but thank you for your advice!

If you have an unconditional offer and are a undergrad then are supposed to hear between July and September, if you have a conditional offer and are an undergrad then you hear between August and September!
I was in Lewes Court (non en suite) this year and I absolutely loved it! At first I really wanted an en suite, but trust me it's not wort it especially when you aren't living with that many people etc! The social space for lewes court is good as you have the kitchen with a living area (table chairs) which was great for dinner and having pre drinks/ flat parties (unlike some other accommodation)! The flats are around 5-6 people, which is a nice number as not too many but not too little...I made so many friends In the area surrounding my flat and my flat (maybe I was lucky) but I defo think lewes court is great if you like to be social, yet want to work hard etc! It's defo the best accommodation! I wouldn't waste money on Northfield when this was personally really great. I think Brighthelm and Park Houses are quite good so I would defo recommend them after good old lewes court! If anyone has any questions about the accommodation feel free to ask
Is there a specific accomodation meant for mature and post-graduate students? If so which one would you guys recommend and is in newer condition?
I am literally so stuck on Accommodation. I have changed my mind more times than an undecided voter. East slopes and Park village are out of the question, I really don't want to live in squalor, but the others are fair game. I love the idea of En suit, and cash isn't really an issue. I intend to study hard but do appreciate socialising. Wifi is important, so is location.

Responses were too long so I took the plunge after what seems like all day of research and have made my choices :P

Hi,

I've just been offered Park Village as accommodation - if anyone wants to live here instead of East Slope please give me a message and we can sort something out

We can't swap until term starts so it'd be easier for both of us to agree on something now

Thanks
hi, i'll be happy to swap rooms! i'd love to live in any east slope flat that's close to the courtyard, and I can offer a cosy, refurbished room in park village, you would also have your own sink in the bedroom! obvs the swapping has to be done officially x
Kings Road anyone?
Hey, I've been offered park village accommodation for next year and would ideally like to swap.

If anyone is living in brighthelm, swanborough, Northfield or stanmer and would like to switch, let me know!

Thanks
Have they sent out any emails or anything about accommodation? I got the grades for the offer and got the confirmation letter and stuff but haven't heard anything accommodation-wise
