is it ok for bf to look at other girls pics?

i probably sound really psycho, but I'm just wondering. my boyfriend will sometimes scroll past a picture of a girl or some girls on instagram or Facebook and will look at it for like 10 seconds, which is quite a long time to look at a picture. i think he also searches girls up on ig sometimes. he's defo not a cheater type or anything like that, he's great and I'm just wondering if this ok for a guy in a relationship to do? anyone else bf's do this? I'm probably over reacting but just want some advice. thanks )

i can sometimes be a jealous type of person. if my S/O did that i would get a bit jealous but it wouldnt bother me too much. if it bothers you just tell him

Lol 10 seconds is not a long time to look at a picture. I mean if he was literally ogling at their breasts for at least a few minutes then perhaps you have something to worry about. Within a relationship, I couldn't tell you if it's normal or not. As long as you still trust each other and you're both still happily committed, then I don't think there's a big issue here.

It's natural, if you see a really famous celebrity you would probably stare... Same principal tbh

I would go with what mkp says. Try to ignore it,but if its excessive, tell him you find it a bit awkward. he would probably do it when you werent there.

I wouldnt worry , unless ofc he starts regular conversations with them. Just be secure and ignore if for now.

Well if he does it whilst you're around then you shouldnt be worried because he doesnt seem to be hiding anything

I was expecting for this thread to be about your boyfriend looking at nude photos of other girls (which I think is a big no-no). But in this case I think you're overreacting. Unless it's a specific girl he has history with and it's a genuine insecurity for you then I think it's acceptable.

Oh come on.. Just because you're in a relationship doesn't automatically mean that he will stop finding other girls attractive.

...this is what constitutes for "serious" threads on tsr nowadays? this b.s?

to op: get off your high horse woman. there was a time before he knew you existed, and not to break your bubble, but there will be a period after you. everybody is attracted to someone, somewhere. YOU'VE stared at pics of guys before, or fantasied about similar. hell, i'm willing to bet your eyes linger just that second longer when passing a hot guy on the street. don't be hypocritical here.

    wow.

an actual thread... asking if Looking.. at clothed pics (this isnt even porn. which is still acceptable imo. but no. NOT porn)... online... from a different location... and hell different country... is cheating? are you telling me rn, that you have Never looked at those cosmo mags that picture in explicit detail the shape and outline of a man with or without his bulges? or dare i say it, 50 shades of grey? we're talking about common social media? that's what you're asking about?

my days. please don't post again unless for actual enquiries.

    not this.

    tsr makes me laugh sometimes
I need this kind of advice in my life. I straight up agree with you.

Tell me then, if you have a gf....why add a random girl you don't know to your Instagram and start liking her pics? I don't understand the logic. I can understand if u know these girls in real life, maybe your friends, that's cool. Help me understand then?

As I understand it, the OP said that her bf sometimes looks at pictures of other girls (some random others not) on instagram/FB for like 10 seconds each. Nobody said anything about adding, talking to a girl or start liking her pics.
