What is accounting and finance like? Unconditional if put as firm choice

I've recieved a conditional offer for Accounting and Finance in 2017 but they've also said if I put this uni as my firm choice, the offer will be made unconditional. Now I did prefer NTU over Hallam, even though I did still like Hallam, and NTU has only made me a conditional offer, so I was wondering if anyone who's already on this course at Hallam could tell me what they like and don't like about the course, uni, accommodation and the city itself??
Because my predicted grades are BBB, and they are the entry requirements for all of my chosen unis, but I'm not confident I can get a B in Economics A Level so I'm wondering if accepting Hallam as my firm is a good idea? I don't know, please help

Im on my 3rd year doing finance and banking, but I did accounting as part of my 1st year module, from what I can gather the course is more real life orientated rather than just being theory, you have plenty of opportunities to learn and use programs that are used in actual work place i.e. sage, as well as getting qualifications such as the Microsoft Office Specialist ('MOS') Excel Specialist Training & Certification, which is good to have on the CV. If i were you ill choose Hallam, as your certain of getting in and then can just put your head down and concentrate on exams. Accommodations are close to the city and in walking distance to the university and cheap in-comparison to other cities, depending on what you like the night life is great and affordable, there are tons of places to eat and sight see.

Are you talking about NTU?

Leeds Beckett have offered me a conditional and so has UCLan. I'm just waiting on East Anglia to reply

Their entry requirements are ABB, and I applied to it on a whim, along with UCLan because I wanted ti go to Beckett, Hallam or Trent.
I very much doubt I could get ABB, let alone East Anglia giving me an offer

I know and I do appreciate it as I really just want to make a decision so I can concentrate on my studies haha
So if you were in my position, would you put Hallam as your firm or go for NTU and try to meet the grades?

This thread might be dead, but I wonder where did you end up and how did it go? Very curious.

Hi @Ilie746,

If the previous people don't come back, let me know if I can help at all or if @hallamstudents can answer any of your queries
