University Choices

Hi! I hope you understand my frustration...

I got conditional offers for Surrey University for Psychology & Sociology and Sociology Major. I also was accepted at Middlesex for Psychology and Sociology.

I want to select my firm and insurance but I am having a bit of trouble;

Surrey wants a B in English and Maths and I only have a C in English and I am retaking my maths.

Middlesex will only need a C in English and Sociology at Surrey needs a C also.

I was told that it is at Surrey's discretion to accept me on the course without a B in English as they have knowing im not retaking that GCSE. But If I risk it and don't get accepted would I put Middlesex or Surrey (sociology) as my insurance?

And is it worth going to Surrey for Sociology (ranked 4th in the UK) than studying at Middlesex which isn't one of the best Universities?

Should I retake my English GCSE to make sure I do get onto the course?
