aw!
well done for persevering at work though :dumbells:
we got a bit of snow but nothing really, and it’s all gone now! :frown:

Thanks
We got quite a lot tbh! It had mostly melted by the afternoon but there was a fair bit of it, now it’s just icy sludge :nn:

@04MR17

pleased to report i did swim
as my parents say, i never regret it :yep:

:yay:
ahhh so many tests in the next few weeks! freaking out a bit :eek3:

english first today.
did a bit of chapter 3 and the development of jack, he becomes really animalistic and it’s a bit creepy analysing it all

then i had maths
it was a pretty good lesson as we did loads of consolidation on imperial/metric conversions
i think we probably did around 60 questions in the hour :smartass:
also had a really dumb moment - obviously metres are bigger than yards right? well apparently not, because a yard is 90 cm and a metre is 100cm - but for real, 0.9 is smaller than 1 and 0.9 metres is a yard so my mind is blown :headfire:

re third.
lots of discussion, watched some clips from a film about the virgin mary.
then we did a 12 mark exam question, but we got to listen to music which made me 100x more productive

at lunch there was a charity staff bleep test which was so funny
my pe teacher won it, i think he got to round 11? :dumbells:
one of the other teachers tore a ligament in their ankle though oooops

after lunch i had biology and our final lesson before the test. as i’d revised, it was just repetitive content on changes in the body during exercise but we did a lot of practice exam questions which i thought really helped because i’m terrible at data analysis and it’ll probably be in the test

finally i had spanish
verb test, wrote down some more verbs...
recap of vocab...
translation activity...
that’s about it :dontknow:
got told i have a test next week though! so i’ll be on memrise nonstop :cry2:

question of the day
worst injury/illness you’ve ever had?

I broke my arm to the point where the bone almost pierced my skin. Enough said.
That works out to be like 1 question per minute in the maths

worst injury hmm Dont think I have had a serious injury
only those standard scrapes from primary school
ahh good luck with all your tests! I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly xx
good luck girrll
i know you will smash it xxx
More productively maths lessons than I’ve ever had

Worst illness: About 2 years ago I had an infection in my left optic nerve and my eye was swollen for about a week, and had to have surgery :afraid:, thankfully it went well :h:

And good luck for your upcoming tests

haha, most of our lessons are like that thankfully!

oh noooo :O

thank you
I've not had any really bad injuries actually! I'd say my worst one happened in Y7 when I was in a dance lesson at school, I did a spinny jump and landed funny on one leg - still don't know exactly what happened but I was in extreme pain and fell to the floor, had to get wheeled to the medical room in a wheelchair :dontknow: Had it strapped up in a knee support for about a week and was limping badly at first, and then it was fine again!
good luck with all your tests!
um the worst injury was probably when i ran into someone during a netball game and fell face down, bruising my waist and having a pretty bad scrape on my knee:redface:

nasty!!
good luck!!
ew... bleep tests...
haven't really had any serious injuries/illness... I think the only time I've ever had to stay overnight at the hospital was when I contracted salmonella when I was 2... but otherwise... no.

I have an A Level in Maths, and I'm confused.:wtf:

Broken arm at age 4. Apart from that no major injuries.

they made us do them twice every year... :afraid:
That was years ago... I don't even remember it at all
tonight is gonna consist of me doing hundreds of exam questions in order to have any chance of doing well on tomorrow’s biology test :cry2:
oh, and 3 hours of swimming :dumbells:

first today was spanish which was pretty cool, we finished some translations from yesterday, then spent the rest of lesson doing an envelope activity. basically we have to collect all of the phrases and be the first ones to finish with translations of them :dontknow:
my friend and i finished well ahead last time - and this time too! we’re so competitive

next i had pe theory where we were looking at commercialisation of sport. it was actually kind of depressing finding out about how sporting events are just a vicious cycle of sponsorships and media agreements :s-smilie: interesting though!

third was maths
did a mini test and got 8/20 so i’m in trouble if thursday’s test is equally difficult...
gonna need to revise the topics a lot :sadnod:
also did some problem solving stuff in the lesson which i kinda got the jist of but need to work on my accuracy :smartass:

after lunch i had english
we had a cover teacher, so didn’t really get a lot done - but it was a nice one, not the moody one!
basically caught up on lots of annotations, constantly adding them ooops?!
had some entertaining convos though
and yesterday we had this massive debate on new conspiracy theories i’d discovered which we kinda continued :getmecoat:

guess what?!
we had a cover teacher for the 61728192873rd time in chemistry
i know you all said i shouldn’t be trying to teach myself the course but this must be the 20th time this year she hasn’t taught us
we did some stuff on temperature i think? and how it affects the rate of reaction. the cover teacher was actually really nice and he tried to teach us some of it - successfully - which was helpful!

question of the day
subject you find/found the hardest?
