Undergraduate degree in medical sciences

I'm seriously considering doing a medical sciences degree in university after high school, but I would really like to know what sort of opportunities I'll have if I want to pursue postgraduate studies. Will I have a wide variety of health and medical related disciplines to specialise in such as neuroscience, genetics, psychology etc.?
It depends on the course, however most Biomedical Sciences and related courses in the UK will cover sufficient background to pursue genetics and neurobiology research. Psychology it would probably depend on the specific PhD project, but more biological ones I'm sure would welcome the background. Often you can specialise in Neuroscience or Development Biology etc in such courses here (at least, outside of the NHS oriented courses which are less focused on academic research preparation naturally).
