I hope to study Medical Sciences, should I get the grades, as I want to be a doctor. When you do a degree are you able to study and do hobbies too?
I want to work hard to get my dream job of being a healthcare worker, but also don't want to burn myself out. I want to make sure I have a good work/life balance are you able to do that?
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.

If one of the below threads is a more relevant place to ask your question, please post a reply in that thread to ask your question. If your query is answered by one of the Megathreads or articles linked below, and you would like us to close this thread for you, please reply to this thread with just the words "thank you". A degree in medical sciences won't qualify you to become a medical doctor. You need to do a medical degree for that (MBBS/MBChB etc). The two are not the same.
It's perfectly plausible to balance any degree (including medicine) with some level of non-academic activity. The exact balance will vary from person to person however.
Hi, thank you for your message. Yes I thought it would be okay to do hobbies alongside my studies.
Also yes I know I didn't do Biology or Chemistry at School so am doing medical science and medicine after. This is especially as my school do not do retakes and I don't have the money to pay for them. This is a more plausible way for me to into the healthcare profession.
