Going away for Easter holidays during AS levels= bad idea??

So I’m kind of in a tough situation, any help would be appreciated
Basically, I’m in year 12 doing AS levels and my family are planning to go abroad in the Easter holidays for the whole holidays to visit family and attend my aunts wedding back where we’re from. I haven’t seen them for over 6 years so it would be a great opportunity to see my family again and go back to my home country but I don’t want this trip to jeapordise my AS level exams. Is it a bad idea to go? Will I still have enough time to revise as there won’t really be any chance to revise whilst I’m away. I do really want to go but I don’t want to fail these exams. Thanks

You know yourself- how much will you honestly manage to get done (studying wise). Make a list of everything you'd like to do during the time you are with your family and try to stick to it- that way you'd be able to have fun with your family and revise for the AS exams :yep:

I went away during Easter and started revising afterwards and did perfectly fine

I went on holidays at Easter during AS and turned out fine  I only had total of 4 exams though due to mainly coursework subjects
It depends how much you think you would've done otherwise. I knew I would have spent too much time socialising during Easter regardless of where in the world I was so it didn't make much difference to me haha

That made me feel a lot better, thank you. Did you go away the whole 2 weeks?

Well that is dependant on how well you do up until Easter. I went abroad for around 2 weeks in March 2017 before the half term holidays and I managed to revise for 3 maths exams and 2 mocks in May / June, as well as doing the EPQ in 2 weeks. It all depends on how confident you feel and how difficult you’re finding your subjects. But I warn you that you won’t get any work done abroad unless you’re not like me and actually do some work on holiday lol. Believe me I tried and it didn’t work 😂. But all that said it is a risk and it’s really up to you if you want to take the risk. So, if you think you’re an organised and dedicated individual who will manage to cover all the content before exams then I’d say go. If not then I wouldn’t advise going.
