Graphic Design at Arden University (distance)

Hi everyone! I’m just looking to see if anyone has taken the graphic design course at Arden University? I just want to know their experience with it, how they coped with distance learning and to see if they would recommend it to anyone else!

Arden has a history of ripping off students. I would approach with caution. Get solid guarantees about what they are promising you.

Oh why do you say that?
Hi @Om3ga2379

Firstly, we are excited to know that you are considering studying with us.

We have over 50 years’ experience in providing high-quality online education to people all over the world. Here's a brief video that explains our journey from providing flexible online learning in partnership with established universities, to being awarded full University title in our own right and becoming Arden University. https://youtu.be/-pRxkXdil9k

Our University status is a confirmation that the government is confident that our academic standards, financial status, and governance structure meet the stringent criteria required for the university title. We are also regulated by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), like all other UK Universities.

Many of our courses have professional accreditations such as BPS, CIM and APM which means you can be sure your qualification is meeting industry standards, and will be valued by employers globally.

We want people to benefit from modern, accessible and flexible ways of learning that truly support their career ambition. You can read some testimonials from our students and check out our profile on WhatUni.

We hope this information is helpful - please let us know if we can answer any questions for you.

All the best,

The Arden Team

They're just not particularly specialist in arts education and have a very mixed reputation as an alternative provider.

https://www.oca.ac.uk/creative-arts-degrees/ba-hons-graphic-design-degree/ is cheaper, associated with a public art specialist university, offers the ability to pick different modules to specialise in areas of GD that interest you and is likely to be more recognised by employers.

Distance learning is tough though - don't underestimate how motivated you'll need to be, particularly for a creative subject.
