How many mile it will go will depend on a lot of factors - the 1st being the size of the fuel tank, the 2nd being how clean and good of a condition the engine, tyres, exhaust system is in. It will also depend on how many things you keep in it the heavier the car the less miles it's going to do /tank of fuel. The last things will depend on your driving style and wether or not you are town driving or motorway/dual carriageway driving.
A lot of the above factors will also tell you how reliable it will be - but also bear in mind that you need to look at the mileage the car is 8 years old already and if it's done over 100,000 miles probably best not to buy it.

Easily up to 400000. Petrol are lot less, but diesel tends to last a lot longer. Check out the video on the Car throttle (youtube), where he drives 450000 mileage Skoda Octavia diesel
