Part timer working 24 hours a week, does this include breaks?

Hi guys, I am starting at McDonalds and am doing 3 days a week on 8 hr shifts. Now I have been told that if i work 24 hours a week ,my mother looses some of her benefit entitlements.

However, these 8hr shifts have an unpaid lunch break of 45 minutes. Does HMRC take the 24hrs a week as including breaks or excluding breaks. (excluding breaks, I will be working 21hrs and 35 mins if my math is correct)

Any advice is appreciated!
How old are you? I believe if you are in full time education or under 18 it will not affect your mother's benefit but I'm not 100% sure.
HMRC look at how many hours you are paid for so if you aren't paid for lunch. this is deducted in essence

I am 16, I've finished gcse's and not in any education yet
Yeah if you're under 18 your mum shouldn't lose any of her benefits. I would double check it though because it doesn't sound right at all.
