Hi Could anyobdy tell me which are the most conservative/less liberal unis on teaching and student population wise? I am aware it is impossible to accurately gauge this, but just to get an idea Thanks in advance
Not entirely sure what you’d mean by this. Are you thinking about political views, racial demographic, “open-mindedness”?
All unis have people from around the country/globe and therefore accustoms the different views people have. I doubt there are any unis that would stand out. Even Oxbridge, often regarded as conservative by some people, has great outreach programmes and societies for different groups.
Yes I meant exactly all of those above I know that, but still, on a relative scale isnt there a uk uni that has that reputation ? I heard quite a bit about Exeter but not sure
The most conservative are generally those which have high entry requirements. Durham, St Andrews, Oxbridge etc for the simple reason that those who attend them are more likely to have come from privileged backgrounds. You do have conservative societies at nearly all unis though

Durham has a reputation for being unusually conservative as a university. Universities tend to be rather liberal places, especially in the sciences and the arts; conservatives tend to be more inclined towards humanities, at least from what I’ve observed at my university, St. Andrews.
i don't think you'll find 'most conservative teaching' - it would be on a teacher-by-teacher basis. but i wouldn't worry about it too much. uni is largely self study and you choose your own ideas. meaning, if you have an assignment on diversity, you decide which angle to approach it.
you can read this student survey (see page 5) but it's from 2015 and political attitudes changes with time. the world was a different place when Obama was in office and before the Brexit vote.
