My MEd dissertation is due 12/2018, can apply my Doctoral loan in Jan 2019 for a May 2019 start? Or do I need to wait for the exam board results in February 2019? Thanks,Lisa

Thank you we have just noticed this second message.
It will depend on when your Doctoral course is actually classed as starting and the official end date of your current course. The end date is not necessarily the date you receive your results. Are you studying in England?
We have to be sure there is no concurrency and therefore we must determine that your previous course does not overlap with your Doctoral course.
If it’s England then you can apply by visiting this page for more details - www.gov.uk/doctoral-loan/apply
Both of those start dates are classed as 2018/19 applications which are available now.
