An orgasm isn't the only way to show you enjoy it. Maybe your technique wasn't quite right to take him all the way or maybe he just wasn't into it as much as he could have been. Don't think that in order to show you enjoy it you have to have an orgasm.

You sort of do. As a male, if it's pleasurable you'll generally end up "arriving", if it's not then you won't. So if he's not ejaculating then he's not enjoying it generally.
