Hopefully it will help you. For me personally, different traumas require different modes of attack, but CBT can be helpful. There are other options too potentially to look at if you feel you need more support when you finish CBT? I'm not sure if your MH trust has specialist trauma teams or specialist psychology services that manage complex trauma (which yours likely is?), but that could also be something to look into as well a few months from now. There are options. :yep: Medical trauma is horrific to deal with. :frown: You'll get through this, though. I believe in you, we all do!

I have two little Christmas tree ornaments, Stitch and Angel, they're on my chest of drawers currently because I didn't want them to break lol. Have a few plushies as well, and pictures. One of my friends drew one for me a few years ago and it was really sweet.

I hope so. I've been told I only have three sessions out of four with the counsellor and that is it, I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed over that. I'm not too sure how to get more support afterwards if needed? Where I live the mental health services are extremely stretched :frown:. Thank you, I hope the CBT does help as things are pretty rough at the moment especially with everything else going on.

Oh same! I've got those little Christmas tree ornaments as well I think, are they the ones from Primark? As bad as it sounds I packed away angel and kept stitch on show  That sounds really nice, I do love stitch a little bit haha.

Hi!

I did see an episode where a girl had scoliosis which was linked to VACTERL, if that's the one you mean?

Thank you for the hugs, sending them your way as well :hugs: How are you doing too? Also, I completely forgot to ask about your trip, did it go well? (Super sorry if I've got my dates wrong, my brain is very mush at the moment lol).

It is so cute! I think have one too many stitchs though

I don't mind helping you out finding what's available where you are. It might be worth asking your specialists as well, they sometimes have them even if the wait lists are long. (e.g. I've seen the attached health psychologist at St. Thomas' mast cell team and have her contact details for support where needed, same for other specialists I see).

They might be! I honestly can't remember. I adore Stitch. One of my best friends and I have joint custody over one of the huge Stitch plushies - he lives at my house though. :ninja:

It really has! I'm quite glad we've got the Easter holidays now (even though we've been off for a few weeks already). Just out of curiosity are you still having to do school/college work?

That's okay honestly, thank you for just following along, it means a lot! :hugs: And I hope so too, my fingers are crossed for sure.

I hope you are doing okay too and thanks again, apparently I'm too crazy over Disney!! according to my family

nah we don't have to and our teachers haven't really set any work either!! my maths teacher uploaded the running order that they were going to follow for the rest of the year if we wished to continue the spec but that's it really  i've done a little bit of work on maths but have been doing mostly anything not related to work

Thank you so much for the offer, I will keep that in mind! I did mention this to my specialists and they just said go private as there are no proper MH services here.

I'm so glad i'm not the only one who likes Stitch! Aww, that sounds great, I'm very jealous!

I'm still having to do assignments for my BTEC! :colonhash: I'm going to have a few days off though aha as I'm getting caught up in so many assignments. I hope the specification that they've given you is alright

No you didn't get the dates wrong at all! I went to Stockholm and returned earlier this month (a few days before my uni started rolling out a gradual travel ban! :headfire: ). It was a great trip and was so lucky with the timing and that it went ahead

Phew  So glad to hear it was good and great timing before everything kicked off majorly!

How are you finding self isolation/distancing? :hugs:

I'm finding it mostly OK but missing my younger sister. It looks like we won't be able to meet up for her 30th birthday in mid-April, which is very sad :frown:

How are you holding up? :penguinhug:

I'm doing okay there's just so many things going on

Thank you, I have just sent an email to one of the MH services asking for some support/advice as this week has gone a bit topsy tervy :frown:. Hopefully next will be better.

Maybe your sister will have to be like the queen and have two birthdays? I did that for my thirteenth birthday in hospital as I was nill by mouth, so I had the second birthday at home with cake and with my close family
