Dropping out of uni
Decided I want to drop out but don’t know when the best time to do so in relation to student finance. I want to drop out after I’ve completed my first year so I don’t have to pay back any loans that are considered ‘overpaid’ but not have to pay for second year. When should I drop out?
The maintenance loan payments they give cover the full AY so I'm assuming 1st Sept - 31st August for yourself. If you ask the uni to confirm you dropped out before 31st then some of the maintenance would need to be paid back differently to it just coming out of your wages when you earn enough. Tuition fee would still be paid to the university.
