What uni degree to I choose

I am currently in Year 11 and I am thinking of what University degree I want to do but I can't decide. I am going to choose Maths, Comp Sci and Economics for A-Levels. I was looking at the Finance sector, Actuary, Accounting. I enjoy Maths and I am good with computers and I was looking at accounting however I saw Actuary and it looked interesting. The problem is that some universities offer Actuary Science alone and if I lose interest in it I would not know where to turn. I was hoping if there was any Uni degree that covered Actuary Science and Finance together.

Remember that universities have optional modules so you can specialise in the subjects that interest you most. It's worth looking around at the different modules you can take at different universities to see which one offers the broadest degree. Often first year is very broad anyway so you may be able to switch courses in the first few months if you find that it wasn't what you were expecting.
Hi there 😊

Have a look at our Financial Mathematics course - https://www.hw.ac.uk/uk/study/undergraduate/financial-mathematics.htm

The first two years are the same as our regular Actuarial Maths course but then after that the focus shifts to Finance. You would also be in a position to switch onto the regular AM course at that point if you decided to.

Let me know if you have any questions!
