Hi @Jess.1819, My favourite part of University was the amount of opportunities it has offered me. The opportunity to meet so many new people, get involved with business professionals and develop myself as an individual
The best thing about uni for me is probably socialising with people and just having a good time when we’re not going to classes
In an academic sense, my favourite thing would be sitting in lectures and making notes whilst I have a drink from Starbucks because sometimes it’s just so relaxing (I’m not sure why)
My favourite thing was the independence and feeling like I am actually learning with every new experience
The worse thing is loneliness can be hard. Even if you're surrounded by loads of people you can still be really lonely. I think it's genuinely pot luck whether you meet good friends or not, because everyone randomly gets put together in halls.. And the people you may end up with could be fake friends or just not the right people for you.

If you’re at uni what’s your best thing about it?

I’m not there yet but will be attending in September
Hi @Jess.1819 My favourite part about university was getting to meet new people and join societies and clubs. This gives so many opportunities that I never would have had at home. Also I really enjoyed my course and getting to learn about things that I was interested in with other people who were also interested in the same subjects. What are you looking forward to at university? Sophie
My favourite part of University is definitely the independence it gives you, allowing you to make a massive group of new friends and explore different options you want for the future!
How about people who life at home and not at uni halls of residence/ private accomodation ?
Hi,
If you are living at home or not uni specific halls you can definitely still get involved. I would advise attending things in the welcome weeks and freshers fairs - maybe even try a society (as there's normally loads to pick from). Talk to as many people as you can going into lectures, around campus in the library and you should be absolutely fine. I knew lots of people in this situation and it hasn't effected their overall experience at all.
Hope that helps Delia 3rd Year Business and Student Ambassador
