The Open University, the quality of academics and about the Uni overall

I am an Indian student and due to the covid situations I have decided to take a deferral for my course, September 2020 intake. That means my course will start next year September 2021. Meanwhile I looked up some courses of my interest and have decided to go for distance learning through The Open University. I have no idea how good the academics are at the Uni. I would love to know more about this Uni and if taking a one year PG Diploma course here, would be a good option or not. All suggestions and experiences are welcomed! Thank you!
Hi bro U dont need to drop the year. U can continue to apply to any university in uk for September intake. Coronavirus is not going to last for a long time. And as far as i know uk universities are accepting September intake as normal. Plus im also considering taking admission to york st john or university of Cumbria. And so in my budget. U are from india too i guess
