henley college a-levels

hi all, I was hoping to do a-levels at Henley college this September. I was really looking forward to it but kind of sad now as they require 8 gcses to access any a-level course. I thought they would require 6 gcses at most. I only have 6 right now because I failed science. Could any Henley college students let me know if they're really strict with the a-level entries, or even why they have such a high grade requirement in the first place :frown: tyyy
I mean the college ask for 4s in Maths and English, which is standard, 2 5s and 4 4s.
Essentially all you have to do to be able to study A levels is have 8 passes- that's not even an outstanding grade and is average. Many other sixth forms require at least 6 6s. They've set the entry "high" so as to be accessible to average students who want to take A levels but are not particularly gifted in subjects.

Maybe the level 3 extended diploma was more for you?

Which Henley college are you talking about ?

Oxfordshire, considering at the one in Coventry your college place is guaranteed.
