Out of date textbooks

I've found some cheap social work textbooks published from 2003-2010. Obviously I have an up-to-date law textbook, but is it important to make sure other textbooks are up-to-date too? Or could I get away with older ones and wider reading?

I had older ones for different options/opinions. I knew that 90% of my subjects hadn’t changed (say criminal law) in last 5 years and knew the bits that had changed from my core textbook. So go for it, if it’s just a second source.
