What is a childhood studies degree like?

I completed my BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies in 2020 so i can give you some insight. The course is really broad in terms of looking at the child in a holistic manner. You'll typically look at the history of childhood, child development, education, safeguarding, social policy and children's rights.
Just be aware that some universities take on a more theoretical approach while some focus more on the practical skills.
The course is so broad you can kinda go anywhere with it- childcare, social work, teaching etc.

Not really a useful answer.
I completed my Early Childhood degree in 2020 at Newman university and now I’m currently towards the end of my Masters degree in Education to become a lecturer in Early Childhood studies. The course covers various aspects of education, policy and specialist modules as well as a mandatory work placement module in year 2. Many students go on to completing a PGCE or into NHS job roles as well as a postgraduate degree.
