Mark boundaries 2022

Is it likely the AQA Spanish A level will have a slightly more generous mark boundary this year? So much has been missed because of Covid. It'd be unfair, I think, if not.

Yes, if you mean "more generous mark boundary" than 2019.

See Ofqual’s approach to grading exams and assessments in summer 2022 and autumn 2021:

"...in 2022 exam boards will set the grade boundaries based on a profile that reflects a midpoint between 2021 and pre-pandemic grading."

There was grade inflation between 2019 and 2020, and then between 2020 and 2021. To the midpoint between 2021 and 2019 will provide for a more generous mark boundary than 2019.

Or, as Ofqual put it:

"Results overall will be higher than in 2019, and not as high as in 2020."
