Marketing at uni

Any uni recommendations for marketing courses undergrad in the uk?

I’m looking to do marketing/business management with marketing. I’ve seen the tables but they match differently across different boards… complete uni guide vs guardian e.c. And if anyone has studied marketing I would love to hear about their experiences e.c

Thanks

Hi there I want to study marketing in uni as an undergrad in the uk. But I’m not soo sure what unis are best for it. Rankings seem to be all over the place when looking online.

Anyone who has studied marketing or marketing management e.c please let me know your experiences/thoughts. Or anyone who has applied for the course I would love to know where.

Hi there!

I am a current student at Pearson Business School studying Business Management with marketing. I love this course as the first year everyone studies the same topics to get an overview of the principles of business. Then, going into second and third year, the modules become more tailored to your pathway. For example, my favorite topic I studied last year for marketing was digital and social media marketing. This was great as it allowed me to unleash my creativity and apply it to real industry scenarios.

Away from my studies, Pearson Business School has allowed me to put my knowledge to the test by helping me get two internships through their guaranteed internship scheme. These are both fantastic opportunities as not only am I learning invaluable skills, they are both great experiences to put on my CV to increase my employability. This explains why Pearson is in the top 20 institutions for graduate employability.

Therefore, I would highly recommend this course if you are looking to do marketing as you'll study modern marketing modules by industry-experience tutors who have a wealth of marketing experience that they incorporate into their lectures and seminars.

Here is a link for more information about the course: https://www.pearsoncollegelondon.ac....marketing.html

I hope this has been helpful and I wish you all the best with your decision!

Best wishes, Mia

Hi,

I'd definitely recommend taking a look at the 'Management with Marketing' undergraduate course at the University of Bath. I'm a final year Business student at the University of Bath and I've loved my time studying here.

I have loved living in Bath and going to Bath uni, and the management courses are excellent. You get given a lot of choice with what modules you want to take, so you can specialise in an area you find most interesting. For example, I have taken a lot of Marketing modules as these are the ones I enjoy the most, but you can also do finance or operations modules if these are something you are better at. The flexibility is so helpful at helping you find what your strengths/weaknesses are.

The undergraduate management courses at Bath all rank really highly in university league tables, and the graduate prospects are really good. The BSc Business course I do has 2, 6-month placements (working in industry as part of our degree) which is a really unique structure compared to management courses elsewhere. The year-long placement as part of the Management with Marketing degree will also give you some really valuable work experience to put on your CV, making you more employable in the future as you will have both degree knowledge and industry knowledge to take into a new job role.

Bath is also such a lovely place to live, as the city is fairly small there is a really nice, friendly feel about Bath and you are always bumping into familiar faces. As the city is quite student populated there are lots of good student deals on in the bars, restaurants in the city. There are some good clubs, and other things to do such as mini golf, the cinema, and lots of amazing famous sites to see.

I hope this helps and please feel free to ask anymore questions you might have about Bath or the School of Management!

Best of luck,
Kayley
Final Year Business student
