Are science Ial exams very keen on grammar?

So this is for Edexcel Ial science subjects. Should the answers be grammatically correct or is it not important as long as the answer makes sense/is structured correctly (with keywords and all)?

You're not going to lose marks for poor grammar, as long as the examiner can understand what you're saying and you've used the correct terminology.
