Deciding between Film Studies and Geography Degree

I currently do both film studies and geography a level and I really cannot decide which subject I should pursue. I thoroughly enjoy both film studies and geography, however my main passion is film studies. I'm under the impression that geography is a stronger first degree with better prospects. I'm worried that taking film studies would result in less job opportunities and and an unstable career but at the same time I know I'll enjoy studying film more.

You could combine both by becoming a wildlife and nature film-maker. Have you looked at joint honours degrees?

Wildlife filmmaking is usually taken as a post-grad subject (visual anthropology would be another subject which might relate to human geography). Many people who do this come in through the science or social science undergraduate routes.

Geography is a hugely versatile degree.

Not only are there so many different 'types' of Geography - physical, environmental, human, international development etc etc - and this allows you to make your degree exactly what you want, but also it means your degree covers both science and social science/humanities therefore gives you so many skills etc to add to your CV. You will find Geography grads in almost every sort of job you cam think of because of this.

Look at the details of these degrees as some examples -
Sussex - https://www.sussex.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/search?q=geography
Liverpool - https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/subjects/geography/
Birmingham - https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/gees/geography-msci-international.aspx
Or look at Combined honours degrees that allow you to combine many different subjects including Geography -in one degree Newcastle https://www.ncl.ac.uk/undergraduate/degrees/y001/
Or Anthropology - https://www.gold.ac.uk/anthropology/study/

Thank you that's such a good idea, I'll definitely look into that route!
