are girls extremely affected by what society thinks?

A ton of guys love bigger girls, they're even genres of porn dedicated to them which means they're even willing to pay for them.

I don't expect anything equivalent from girls but it seems to me most of them don't choose guys based on qualities that are actually good like honesty, wholesomeness, dedication, a hard worker, etc but rather they're based on what society and their friends think is attractive right now.

Like right now it's about curly hair dudes on tiktok who're "6'0''+" because that's what some clique decided it's more important than anything else on a man. And tooons of girls agree just because it's socially desirable...

This post does make girls look bad, I admit that. But it's not that all girls who're like this, it's just a significant number and usually they're the most sought after girls (and that is, to give the other side of the coin, because most guys have no standards and will hit on any girl with a semi-good body)

It depends on the specific girl.
Her ambitions, personality, how cliquey she is and her attitude towards standing up to peer pressure.
Stop scrolling tiktok....most real life well adjusted girls don't randomly pick guys based on silly internet trends..

Damn. My boyfriend is a great guy who is honest, dedicated and hard working, but I clearly need to ditch 6'2" him and his No 2 haircut for someone 6' with curls. I'll tell him "TikTok made me do it!"

Actually, they don't call it 'ThickTok' for nothing...

No offence to anyone.

I wish all of us really comprehended the meaning of those statements in our lives. Life would've been so ******* beautiful.

The media impacts all of us, tiktok especially seeing as theres so many sides to it. There are many diverse people on tikok who are loved by many people from around the world bc of their looks - it just depends where u look or pay attention to.
Society and the media impacts and contributes a lot like - many girls want someone taller than them bc society has told them that girls who are taller are more masculine and more ugly. That's one but thats affected me the most. Again, i've seen many boys say they wouldnt date a taller girl so ig it affects both genders. At first glance, i would pick a guy whos most attractive but if his personality is rubbish, then why would i love him. I'm kinda confused how the porn bit relates to this tho.
It just depends where you look on the media and who you are around ig, I think many guys pick a good looking guy than a hard worker bc they simply dont know the person enough so they pick the one that looks the most appealing. A handful of girls, including myself know that personality is a key aspect otherwise life would be boring and uneventful which is why i prefer to be friends with a guy first before i start dating him.
That being said, some girls just dont care - some girls just want a bit of eye candy in their life.
Dont let the media get u down, dont let it start questioning ur self worth - many people around the wrold r found attractive despite not fitting in with "tiktok attractiveness".

Girls can be influenced by societal expectations and norms, but the extent varies among individuals. Social pressures can impact self-esteem, body image, and career choices. Encouraging empowerment, self-expression, and challenging stereotypes can help girls navigate these influences and develop confidence in their own identities.
