Yes that’s correct and it totally depends on university to university at the end !
All unis publish their annual calendar for the next two years e.g. Manchester. Google it and take the guesswork out
And just be aware that there will be a Freshers week or Welcome week or whatever that Uni calls it, before the first teaching week for new students - one example : https://media.www.kent.ac.uk/se/20304/term-dates-2023-2024.pdf
