Scared of having general anaesthetic

I am having an operation next week which I will have to be put to sleep for. I have been fine but now I have got the date for the op I am starting to worry about being put to sleep. I have had general anaesthetic before but that was when I was a kid so I don't really remember anything other than being really nervous beforehand.

I know that I will be fine but it doesn't stop me worrying about being put to sleep naturally. Is there anything I can do to help calm my nerves?

I was also scared and I thought I will never wake up:-))) But you will be fine, no worries. I don't think there is much you can do to calm your nerves. Only be positive I don't think the worst. Fingers crossed.
