You can rebook your driving test up to three working days before the date of the test without loss of fees.
If money is no object you can wait up until the day of the test if your post arrives and you have time to wait for it.
Its the post system that is so poor. Hopefully it will arrive before then, but you can always ring the DVLA helpline and ask to see what stage it is at
