Master's application with a non-accredited undergrad degree in Psych

Hi, I am currently studying in India with a non-BPS-accredited undergrad degree. I want to apply for September 2024 intake and was confused how to go about it.
My questions are as follows:
1. If my undergrad degree meets BPS's requirements, what is the next step? Most of MSc Clinical Psychology courses in UK do not confer GBC. What does that mean?
2. If I do not meet the requirements, do I take a Masters (conversion) course in Clinical Psych? If yes, do I then have to do a MSc again to proceed for Doctorate?

I wanted clarity regarding these since none of the universities I am looking at are offering GBC-eligible courses. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

If you want to ultimately apply for a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, then you will need to already have a degree which is BPS accredited and confers GBC. If you undergraduate degree is not BPS accredited, then you will need to take a conversion course - which will normally be a Master's. You can find a list of accredited conversion courses here (just select Course Type = Conversion Programmes and Status = Accredited).

You shouldn't be looking for an MSc in Clinical Psychology - you're looking for a conversion course which is BPS accredited and confers GBC. The vast majority of these cover Psychology generally, with no specialism (e.g. Clinical, Forensic, Health, etc).

Also, please note that gaining access to a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology will not be easy as an international applicant. This is because the majority of such doctorates are funded by the NHS, and mandate that you have the right to work in the UK. I suggest you read this page regarding this issue. (The page is on the web site for the Clearing House for Postgraduate Courses in Clinical Psychology; they are the single point of application for clinical psychology course centres around the UK.)

Hi, so I am also an Indian student applying for masters there. But I don't wanna do a conversion course since it'll practically be a repetition of my Bachelors. So I will be submitting my application to GBC to get my Indian degree accreditited. This is on an individual basis after reviewing each application carefully.
