Birkbeck - part time (Study hours)

Thinking of applying for a Accounting Degree part time. How many independent hours study would I need for a 4 year degree?

It depends - on the part-time 4 year program you could have between 1 and 3 modules going on at any one time, and for each class you will probably need ideally about 10 hrs preparation (though of course in reality people generally don't do enough prep). So in ideal terms, it could be between 10 and 30 hrs prep a week, depending on the term. If you're a strong student you could probably just about keep up with about half that - 5-15 hrs. Though I should stress I teach something other than accounting, so this is just a general ballpark!
